Before choosing Simon & Aaron Whittaker to build my tiny house, I had visited and interviewed more than half a dozen tiny home builders in the North and the South Islands. I went to the big name companies will all the bells and whistles, and the smaller boutique builders without the flash marketing plans and factory set-ups. Going with The TinyH ouse Company was the best decision I ever made. Simon & Aaron helped me design a completely custom home pulling together ideas from a multitude of sources and options: their expertise and vast experience steared me away and protected me from impractical musings of my overzealous imagination, their calm unflappable natures accepted with laughing good cheer all my constant changes, their magical creativity and mind boggling skills found a brilliant solution for every problem I created by wanting fixtures and features that would uniquely accommodate my site, my art work, my furniture, my often bizarre taste. They custom built EVERYTHING, and to a standard that would rival and exceed the highest-end commercial manufacturers. Their attention to detail and self-imposed demand that everything be done right is boundless. On top of all the praise I could continue to heap upon the Whittakers for their construction talents, when you can add that they brought the build in at the contracted for time, with the fairest possible pricing, saw the project through to every miniscule detail of the home's installation at the site and have made themselves available for any and every detail after its installation, what more could one ask for in a tiny home builder except for maybe honesty and integrity. I got Simon & Arron to build me a custom 10x3m. 2 story Tiny Home. The home was built on time and as planned they finished and placed it early December 2023. I have been living in it since mid-January, and absolutely love it. The building and design process was a very enjoyable experience with good communication and open to my ideas. The end result gave me a very personal, lovely/cozy and very functional home. The workmanship is A+ and I highly recommend these guys.
